Consider it your lung fairy. A simple that is far from being simple: this elixir is a combination of elecampane root tincture & elecampane root glycerite that captures the many constituents making up this fascinating plant.

We have grown this plant from seed for several years, watching their first year fuzzy leaf rosette expand to the amazingly tall (ours at least 8 feet!), strongly stalked flower heads. The roots are large & sprawling to provide this structural support & we dig small portions of it in the fall to allow it to continue to regenerate. 

Elecampane root is known for having a deeply complex, aromatic, and bitter flavor that supports dispersal in the body. This could be for digestive aspects as well as other stuck "conditions". The root is also primarily known for lung support when deep action is called for. Elecampane, known botanically as Inula helenium, is also partially named for its rich content of inulin, a prebiotic fiber.
