This is our personal go-to cream: luscious, aromatic, and cooling. Heart Shaped Cream incorporates lovingly grown, skin-supportive flowers with regionally sourced ingredients. Not only do we use it everyday, both Stayc's colleagues and makeup clients have also found a faithful addiction to this formula.
An equal harmony of Bulgarian rose hydrosol and our own farm grown plant infused oils are the structure of this buttery cream based on a classic tried and true teacher's recipe.
With consistent use, skin will become softer, smoother, and able to retain moisture longer. We do not use any added fillers, silicones, acrylates, or synthetic emulsifiers to enhance the texture of our cream.
Heart Shaped Cream is quite concentrated and you will find a little goes a long way to keep skin nourished. But also feel free to slather it on like we do and let it sink in and do the good work.
SUGGESTED USES
Use clean fingers to scoop out and smooth over skin. Heart Shaped Cream can be applied anywhere, you will love it on your face as much as your elbows. For a lighter application, apply while skin is still damp or use with a hydrosol spritz.
KEY INGREDIENTS
CALENDULA FLOWER (Calendula officinalis): We grow this calendula from seed on land we steward in the Catskills region of NY State. The flower heads are hand harvested on sunny days throughout summer and early fall and infused for many weeks in sunflower seed oil local to the Catskills. This process extracts the beneficial resins of the plant and makes a bright orange oil that lends our cream its golden color. Calendula is historically known as a wound healer and lymph mover and is also famous in folk medicine for its support of inflammatory conditions.
COLD PRESSED SUNFLOWER SEED OIL (Helianthus annuus): Sunflower seed oil is nurturing and uniquely encourages suppleness to depleted or inflamed skin. Naturally high in vitamin E, this oil is sourced from a non-GMO farm in Walton, NY.
SPILANTHES FLOWER (Acmella oleracea): Native to tropical areas of the world, especially Brazil, we grow spilanthes from seed as an annual here in zone 4/5. We are fascinated with this plant, most often associated with its invigorating zingy bite on the tongue and its folk medicine use for tooth and gum pain. This plant is now being studied for its skin smoothing properties. We hand harvest the flowers and freshly infuse them in oil to capture their essence.
ST. JOHNS WORT (Hypericum perforatum): Harvesting St. Johns buds and flowers are truly a labor of love as the timing has to be correct, as does the sun, and one needs a fair amount of time itself to dedicate to the process. Although we grow the plant, we find St. Johns doesn't really like to be pinned down in cultivation. We mainly wildcraft the flowers from carefully selected stands far from roadsides and pollution, hand harvesting for many days to source enough for fresh oil infusions while leaving plenty for the insects to enjoy.

If exposed to extreme temperature fluctuations, cream may show a slight pooling on the top. This is a natural occurrence due to the lack of synthetic emulsifiers being used. This will not affect the cream's function and can be quickly corrected with a gentle stir.
