A dual extracted tincture made from the fruiting body of Hemlock Reishi (Ganoderma tsugae) mushroom hand harvested in the Catskills.
Reishi is tough shelf fungus that requires some extra processing in order to extract the maximum benefits from it's matrix. This is because some of the beneficial compounds we seek in this mushroom are water soluble and some of them are alcohol soluble. We process our Reishi two different ways: both as a long, low heat extraction in organic cane alcohol to capture the bitter triterpenoids, and as an extensive water simmer to pull the immunomodulating polysaccharides. The two extracts are combined for a final tincture that has a lower alcohol percentage and a more comprehensive spectrum of constituents than if just taking a simple alcohol tincture or tea alone. Often interpreted from Traditional Chinese Medicine as the immortality mushroom, Reishis (Ganoderma spp.) have been employed and revered by cultures all over the world for hundreds of years. Historically Reishi has been used as a top tonic to support immune response, brain function, and the heart. Traditional use typically employs Reishi in food (soups) or as a hot water extraction (decoction). We put the time in for you so you can enjoy the full benefits of this extraction in an easy to take daily format.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Shake well. As a daily tonic, 1-2 droppersful (30-60 drops) in water or juice, 2-3 times a day or as directed.
(We no longer sell this tincture in a 1 ounce size because we feel it should be taken as a daily tonic for at least 1-3 months. With recommended dosing, 1 ounce would not be enough to provide this benefit to this body.)
